Question
i have a 79 granada im working on iv figured out and fixed or replaced most of the problems but now im stuck, it starts and idles alright but once you get going when you slow down to make a turn or stop it dies ive yoused the soapy water to try and find a vacum leak and there was none that i could find what else could be causeing it to die like that?

Answer
I would need a lot more information about the car to be much help (like which engine, which transmission, how many miles on it etc.) but I can make a couple of wild guesses without that info.

If it is an automatic transmission, try shifting it to neutral before you stop -  if that helps, the transmission might be stalling the engine due to a stuck governor.   If that makes no difference, try upping the idle speed a bit.  If that works, your engine is probably just tired.  Do a compression test on it and that will tell you a lot about engine condition.

If you tell me more about what is going on and about the car, I might be able to make better guesses - but probably you are going to have to take it to a garage with an engine analyser and have them check it out.
