Classic/Antique Car Repair: 67 imperial vacuum lines, factory service manuals, vacuum lines

Question
I have a 67 imperial with auto temp. I have traced the vacuum lines down to the kick panel on the passanger side. The connector holding the lines is wrecked I have found another one but can not find a diagram 2 figure out where the lines go again.  Any suggestions?

Answer
You must have a very late 67 - as the ATC system was only released for production in the last month or so of production.  The ATC system was not covered in the 1967 shop manual, nor was the stereo radio, another late accessory.

It is a coincidence that I also have a very late 67 with ATC.

If you are a member of the on-line Imperial club, you may be familiar with mine, as I wrote up the restoration for the club website.

Whether you are a member or not, go to www.imperialclub.com and click on the section that has the factory service manuals listed.  They have a 68 Shop manual; go to section 24 of the manual and print out all the information on the 68 ATC system, which is the same as your car.

Membership in the club is free, and there is a wealth of information about these cars, along with a daily mailing of discussion about all years of Imperials - it is a lot of mail, but if you put yourself on "digest" mode, you get a condensed version of all the discussion about twice a day - not hard to page through and pick out the gems.
