Chevrolet Repair: No Stop or turn signal, blown fuse, gm cars

Question
My stop lights, turn signals, and emergancy flashers stopped working.  They all stopped after pulling a trailer a borrowed trailer.  My parking lights were not working but replacing a blown fuse fixed them.  All fuses are good.  Is there a common component that could have been damaged?  Since a fuse was blown I am assuming that the trailer may have had a shortted out on the trip.  (It did work when we first plugged it in.)

Answer
well dana, depending on what vehicle you have i think you will find one of two possibilities.. a fried 4-way switch (hazards) of a fried multi-function switch. in newer GM cars the light wiring is routed through the hazard light button on the dash. if that isn't the case its probably the multifunction switch (signal arm). I'd be starting at those 2 components and checking for proper power and grounds at the plug. hope this helps.
