Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1966 Pontiac Tempest, 1966 pontiac tempest, battery terms

Question
I have a 1966 Pontiac Tempest that has been sitting for 4 years,without starting. I went to start it and got nothing. I have replaced the battery(new)and now I get headlights and everthing else electrical, except the starter turning over! Not even the click of the solenoid. Is it possible it "froze"(the solenoid) from sitting? or any ideas what else it could be? It started right up 4 years ago...

Answer
Pat;
 Hi ; I would clean off the battery terms. good , and also change the oil and filter prior to starting it. you do not want the old oil getting into the motor or change it a.s.a.p. , clean the pos. cable at the starter and try it,  and if no good than remove the starter and test it out of the car.if its no good get a new one.
