Classic/Antique Car Repair: Vintage Sealed Beam Headlights, sealed beam headlights, high beams

Question
Hello Dick, I am looking for the yellow high beam sealed beam headlights used in the 60's and 70's, these were aftermarket. I have a 1967 Galaxie that has them for the high beams (I bought it like this) and I really like them, trouble is I can't find replacements anywhere. One burned out and I took the lights off my 59 Ford truck I had that had the yellow high beams on it when I bought it. I really like the way they look as my car is bright hot rod yellow. Can you help with info on where to locate these hard to find lights?
Thank you,
Sara

Answer
There were no standard amber color sealed beams used as headlights in any US built car or truck, at least legally.

What you are looking for is a # 4002A bulb for the low beam, or a # 4001A for the upper beam.  These were never legally sold or used in the USA, but they were standard on European models, and you must have somehow come across some of them.

If you contact www.donsbulbs.com, they should be able to help you find some.
