Classic/Antique Car Repair: removing brake drums, cotter pin, brake drums

im doing the brakes on a 1952 chevy styleline and removed the tire but dont know how to remove the drum . thanx

Hi - first off you did not say f or r. so for the front you will have to pop off the dust cap and remove the cotter pin and take off the nut than the drum should fall off if not you might have to de-adj. the brakes. and for the back you will have to turn the brakes in / de-adjust them and than you might have to tap the drum to pull the drum off. they will come off with  some work be carefull not to hit the axle with the hammer as it will pein over some metal
and you will have a lot of extra work.
