Classic/Antique Car Repair: Parking Brakes for 1972 Corvette, brake calipers, parking brakes

Question
I have had this car for about 12 years and the parking brake has never held.  I am replacing the rear brake calipers and thought while I'm doing this I should try to install a parking brake kit.  Would it be difficult for someone like me that does small jobs like changing calipers and pads?  What steps do I need to perform?  In looking at the wheels, it looks like I would have to remove the spindle?  Thank You for your time.

Answer
Hi Alex;
     The first thing to do is spray up all of the parts that you will be taking off with wd-40 or liqud wernch. let them sit for a day than do the job, you should have no trouble as the worst thing is taking off the rusted parts.   I do not think you will have to remove the axels.but you should use small size wrenches,sockets.also spray up the emerg. brake cable adjustment screw so it will go easy if needed.clean off all dirty parts. ok
