HELP

Answer
snake, ok- well i know how you feel as i had my 66 ss 396 do the same thing when i put in a punched out 454 engine as it had so much power the front wheels came off the ground and i would snap axels.gears.shocks. and studs ,etc, etc,
well i got a set of h.d. ladder bars that go from the banjo to the front of the frame and i had to use a comealong to put them in from the front bumper to the banjo and i used steel bushings well it raised the back end up at least 6-8 inches so i had h.d. springs in the front so all was cool and when i got on it dam all the power went to the tires no more breaking rear ends i had to put in real h.d. shocks and beef up the springs a bit but it was worth it  it worked great solid ladder type bars the bolt up type do not ever use weld ons as it will weaken the banjo and snap than you are screwed/ ok snake oh yea  i forgot you can also use a banjo from a buick  or a pontiack as i forget and it will stand up to everything as it is a lot of work to switch but it is also great.
