Classic/Antique Car Repair: help, drive shaft, corvete

Question
hi i do not know if you can help me but i was told by a friend that said he used you and you were great, so i wish to ask you something about my chevy corvete as it is a 1963 prior stingray.
i have my rear end making some super loud noise and it sounds as if it is hitting the car under the bottom but my friend said he cant see any thing and the faster i go the worse it will get and it seams as it is only getting worse can you help me.

Answer
you are lucky as i had a 63 vett with a budy of mine and we had the same thing happen to us.
you must have a broken or snaped or worn out or even loose rear end mount , as the noise is comming from the rear end as it is bending up and the drive shaft also so thay are both bending up and hitting the body  and soon you will have a hole in the back deck as the drive shaft u-joint is going to cut a hole from hitting it and it must be fixed as it is a serious condition it will cause you to  blow your rear or drive shaft  or u-joint or tranny damage so get that rear end mount fixed now ok as it is dangerous as you should not even drive it that way as anything could happen ok so get it fixed now or you will have real trouble ok
