Dodge Repair: 2003 manual transmission: clutch action?, clutch actuation, clutch action

Question
I am starting to have problems shifting into gear. I recently made a trip and got stuck in stop and go traffic for 3 hours. This is when the problems started. I had my engine rebuilt last year and had the clutch replaced at the same time. Sometimes I can drive and there is no issue at all. Other times I have to pump the clutch (push down twice) before the shifter will go into gear.I am currently "deployed" at a military base andhave to be certain places during work hours. I am hoping to get to a transmission place saturday but worry about things till then.

Thanks

Answer
Hi Shelby,
You didn't mention the year/make/model so I can't be sure of the specifics of your clutck. But I assume it is hycraulic and it may well be that the fluid level in the hydralic cylinder is down a bit. So if you can locate the cylinder for the clutch operation I would add some brake fluid to it to displace the air which when present makes the clutch actuation flaky.

Sorry for the delay but I just found your question in the pool to which Kevin had referred it.
