Dodge Repair: 95 caravan: no start, oil gauge, diagnostic capability

Question
QUESTION: The check gauges light came on and I have replaced the pcm and computer..ya, pick n pull parts and the date of manufacture was verified on the driver door. Next was replacing the oil pressure sensor (this was a new part). The check gauges light is still on, the oil gauge is not working, and the car won,t start. I can hear the fuel pump power up, any advice on what,s next? Not ready to give up,  yet :)

ANSWER: Hi Pat,
Use the self-diagnostic capability in the pcm: turn the ignition key "on-off-on-off-on and leave on" doing that in 5 seconds or less elapsed time. Then watch the check engine light, which remains 'on', to see it begin to flash, pause, flash, etc. Count the number of flashes before each pause. Then repeat the process to be sure of an accurate set of flash counts. Then tell me the counts in order of appearance. Then we can focus on what may be the cause of your no start. By the way, is the light that is 'on' a "check engine" or "check gauges"? In any case, watch the "check engine" light for the flashing.
Please 'rate' my answer (see below).

QUESTION: It is the check gauges light. I had to disconnect the battery to replace parts. Will i still get a code?

Answer
Hi Pat,
The 'old' codes are erased, and a code 12 will be 'set' because that one is about the battery being disconnected. but if you try to start the vehicle several times that will detect and set any codes that are relevant to the no start. Also tell me which engine (L) you have. Did you check fuse 3-4 lableled "eng" (15 amp) in the box in the engine compartment, and fuse #16 labeled 'ignition' in the box under the dash?
Thanks for the rating/nomination. You are entitled to do it again if you so choose.
