Dodge Repair: a/c air flow, dodge truck, hvac unit

Question
2009 dodge 1ton .when the fan motor is on high setting and switch to recirculate, the fan blows very hard but very little air comes out vents. Also when switching to other settings such as defrost u have to switch several times also adjusting fan speed at the same timebefore it reroutes air flow.

Answer
Hi Michael,
Is there a model name other than '1 ton'? I need to know what it is to consult the proper manual. The air flow directional control is usually done by the 'mode door' and there is a small electrical actuator attached to door that moves the door. If you can tell me the model of Dodge truck, and if I have that manual, I can tell you where to locate the actuator on the HVAC unit under the dash. Then you can remove the acutator (couple of screws) and  try twisting the serrated rod that is attached to the door to test whether it is binding up or not. If so, you might be able to free up that action so the actuator will work it more reliably, or possibly the actuator is weak in its action and needs to be replaced.
Please 'rate' my answer (see below).
Thanks,
Roland
