Dodge Repair: Engine wont stop running, electronic control modules, dodge ram 1500

I have a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 with 5.7 HEMI.  Everything starts good, but shut off with key and key removal has no result.  Lifting battery terminal does nothing.  Only fuse removal or, unplugging computer stops engine.  Also dash lights remain on with battery connected, no key in ignition.  I've unplugged the connection to the ignition switch, panel lights remain on.  Help!!!

I'd advise you you bring it to a repair shop or dealership that can properly diagnose your problem. The reason being that the ignition system on this vehicle is not as simple as in days past. There are at least 4 electronic control modules that play a part in starting, running and shutting down the engine. This type of diagnostics also requires special tools and knowledge.
