Dodge Repair: 2003 Dodge Durango, dodge durango, gas cap

Question
This all started with my wife driving the car and it shut off without any kind of warning or noises, she called me to see what I thought to do, tried re starting the vehicle and no problem with it. Tried to drive it home and it shut off again - restarted almost immediately. I drove the car and it shut off on me too, again NO warning, again restarted immediately. Drove it to my daughters home shut it off restarted no problems. Drove it about 15 miles shut it off and tried to restart - would not restart. Waited about 30 minutes and it restarted. Drove it home no problems. Got home shut it off and no restart. Went to the parts store got a new gas cap (originally it had a 344, 440 and 456 codes) got home put the cap on - restarted. shut it off a couple of times and it restarted. It has had a small leak code (440?) for awhile now and is seems that is the code that keeps coming on. Any ideas? My wife is afraid to drive it!

Answer
the more then likely solution is staring u in the face  U had the code for what is more then likely the stalling prob the whole time.

P0344-CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR INTERMITTENT

the other codes will not stall and engine  only make the light come on for cracked hoses or something like that
