Chevrolet Repair: 05 Silverado HVAC not changing vents properly, servo motor, mode controller

Question
I own a 2005 Silverado. Just recently upon start up and driving, I try to switch from "defrost" to vent or floor and the air will not switch. If I turn the truck off for just a few seconds and restart the vechile, it will change to the desired position. Thank you, in advance, for your comments.

Hey,

 The mode controller servo motor has probably gone bad or is stripped.  I think there is a TSB on reprogramming that I can look into.  If you email me your VIN to waynehowie@rogers.com I will run it on TIS2000 GM reprogramming software to see what updates are available.
