Dodge Repair: Replacement, dodge ram 2500, multifunction switch

Can you tell me how to change the Multifunction Switch in a Dodge Ram 2500 Model 2004. Does the steering wheel need to be removed?

REMOVAL
WARNING: BEFORE SERVICING THE STEERING COLUMN THE AIRBAG SYSTEM MUST BE DISARMED. REFER TO THE ELECTRICAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM FOR SERVICE PROCEDURES. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN ACCIDENTAL DEPLOYMENT OF THE AIRBAG AND POSSIBLE PERSONAL INJURY

Disconnect and isolate battery negative cable.
Remove the upper and lower shrouds from the steering column. Refer to Steering Column - Removal.
Disconnect the wire connector from the back of the multi-function switch.
Rotate the steering wheel far enough to access and remove the two screws securing the multi-function switch to the switch mounting housing on the steering column (Multifunction Switch).
Pull the multi-function switch control stalk toward the left side of the vehicle to remove the switch.
