Dodge Repair: 2003 dodge neon spedometer quite working, vf displays, dodge neon

QUESTION: my 2003 dodge neon was due for a new battery. after i replaced it the speedometer no longer worked we checked all fuses and couldn't find one that was connected to the speedometer. what could be the problem and how do i fix it?

ANSWER: take a close look at it   is the needle wrapped around to the other side of the little stop at the lower left side?

this should make all the lights and needles do a self check and wrap it back around to the right way.

With the ignition switch in the OFF position, press the trip odometer reset button down. Simultaneously turn the ignition key to the ON position and release the trip reset button. All the indicator lamps and VF displays should illuminate except for the fog lamp, turn signal, and high beam select indicators.
