Dodge Repair: cam sensor and crank sensor, camshaft position sensor, dodge ram 1500

where are the cam sensor and the crank sensor located on a 2003 dodge ram 1500 quad cab 4.7L

The Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor is located at the right-rear side of the engine cylinder block (CKP REMOVAL / INSTALLATION - 4.7L). It is positioned and bolted into a machined hole in the engine block.

Raise vehicle.
Disconnect CKP electrical connector at sensor.
Remove CKP mounting bolt (CKP REMOVAL / INSTALLATION - 4.7L).
Carefully twist sensor from cylinder block.
Remove sensor from vehicle.
Check condition of sensor o-ring.

4.7L V-8
The Camshaft Position Sensor (CMP) on the 4.7L V–8 engine is bolted to the front/top of the right cylinder head (CMP LOCATION - 4.7L).

Raise and support vehicle.
Disconnect electrical connector at CMP sensor (CMP LOCATION - 4.7L).
Remove sensor mounting bolt (CMP LOCATION - 4.7L).
Carefully twist sensor from cylinder head.
Check condition of sensor o-ring.
