Dodge Repair: transmission shifting, neon sxt, neon man

QUESTION: i have a 04 neon sxt with 10.000mi that i bought from a dealer. car is absolutly showroom cond. and i happen to know the 80 yr old man who returned it from a 3yr lease. my question is when your crusing at 30-40-50-60- miles an hr and you hit the gas pretty hard it downshifts to what feels like 2nd gear. it does more reving than speed. is that normal? but if you dont hit it to hard it will downshift to what feels like the next gear and take off the way it should. whats the deal? needless to say i know how to give it the right amount of gas to make it downshift to get the right amount of speed. do all neons behave this way? the dealer says all neons downshift this way. i beg to differ. whats the story?

ANSWER: yeah its normal   U have a neon man with a 4cly only 150 hp  u wont get much at high speed like that.

QUESTION: is this the way you ans all your questions? you sound as if you know nothing about the car in general. it has 132hp and you cant even spell the abbreviated version of cylinder. U HAVE A NEON MAN? gimme a break!

ANSWER: ahhh   RT  150  sxt 132  big deal  not much in different any way  and as i said b4  u wont get much of a speed increase at high speed ne way the power band is just not there  as for the cyl   that is what I always say  u under stood it so I got my point across. If u play on being a dick when u ask some one a question  I wold suggest that u get off your ass and find out yourself.

I was around when the first neon cam out in 95 and has the first sbec controller in it.

QUESTION: you got a point. i just think if you are going to ans a question you you should have all your specs in order. it makes you sound like you know what your talking about and sort of lends creedence to the ans.

I don't clam to know everything  if I do answer a question i do know what I ma talking about. If u want reference to my credentials take a look at the 20,000 questions I have answered on this site alone. My web page is also on the signature and it gives my certs to Chrysler. There is no way for me to know every little spec about a cars HP for that matter  when i fix the cars HP is not even a factor in most cases  I know when i drive one if it has an issue or not just based off the countless ones the same make and model I have driven.
