Dodge Repair: 2001 Dodge 2500 Front ABS Speed Sensor, disc brake calipers, dodge ram 2500


Question
How do i replace the right front speed sensor on my 2001 Dodge ram 2500 4x4? What size of socket do i need for the hub removal?

REMOVAL - 4X2
Raise and support vehicle.
Disconnect the ABS wheel speed sensor wire from under the hood. Remove sensor wire from the frame, brake hose and steering knuckle.
Remove sensor bolt from the backside of the steering knuckle and remove the sensor (Wheel Speed Sensor - 4x2).


REMOVAL - 4X4
Disconnect the ABS wheel speed sensor wire from under the hood.
Raise and support the vehicle.
Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
Remove the sensor wire from the clips on the brake hose.
Remove the brake caliper. (Refer to 5 - BRAKES/HYDRAULIC/MECHANICAL/DISC BRAKE CALIPERS - REMOVAL).
Remove the disc brake rotor and adapter. (Refer to 5 - BRAKES/HYDRAULIC/MECHANICAL/ROTORS - REMOVAL).
Bend the tab on the dust shield upwards to allow access to the bolt.
Remove the bolt attaching the sensor to the hub bearing. (WHEEL SPEED SENSOR - 4X4)
Remove the sensor wire.
