Dodge Repair: Fail Cooldown test 1998 caravan, dodge caravan, vent air

Question
My 1998 dodge caravan passes the Calibration/Diagnostic test but fails the Cooldown Test. I have monitored the vent air with a thermometer and observed that the temperature before starting the test is around 79 degrees. When I start the test I observe that the air temperature quickly raises to more than 100 degrees F during the first 10 seconds. After these few seconds of very hot air it begins to blow cool air. The cool air will get colder until it reaches about 60 degrees at the conclusion of the two minute test. This is very repeatable. Is the Cooldown test suppose to cause this hot air? I, also observed that the AC continues to operate after the test is complete. At this time I cycled to Level 4 and monitored the Controller's Evaporator Probe temperature. I noticed that it reports a temperature much higher than my thermometer reads ( 10 to 18 degrees higher). Is this correct? What could be the cause of this? One other observation is that on one occation while driving around with for 30 minutes I measured a temperature of 43 degrees with a second thermometer and the air was very sold to touch. At no other times in the last few weeks has the AC some close to working this well.

Answer
warm the engine up to normal temp  move the slider over to hot for 5 min  then perform the cool down test and once  the doors start to move in the  dash then move the slider to full cold  and also rev the engine up to 1500 rpm  or do it while U are test driving.
