Dodge Repair: 2001 Stratus headlamps, headlamp bulbs, negative cable

Question
OK..53 yr old woman here..I have Never had a problem replacing headlamp bulbs like I have with this car.  I have taken the mounting srews out, can't get the headlight to come out. It is like it is behind the front bumper cover..There is Not enough room to get my hand in to replace them from behind. I have taken out the front clips to loosen the front bumber cover..but I don't want to have to take it all apart..I work tomorrow..ya know!!!  What gives, do I need a special tool to fit in there or what????? I have a hammer handy if that would work?  It is cold out and I hate to waste anymore time than I already have..What is up with this???
