i have organised for the idle control valve but getting a control unit is very difficult over here.
However,since u seem to be able to solve all bimmer probs,pls help out
the same car feels like there is something shaking in d front wheels or in inside the steering at 120km/h till 140km/h and it becomes smooooth then whats that?
(i changed the lower arms and stabilizer linkage last month)
I also want to reset the original car alarm.
presently the remote works but it does not connect with the car even when i code lock the car and someone tries to open it illegally i do not hear the gong sound.why?
any hope?
thirdly i drive the car for 70km everyday out of which 40 is spent in slow moving traffic every day(LAGOS,NIGERIA)
like what would be my average fuel consumption per day in litres and how soon do i change the engine oil.
I wont mind if u can send me d owners manual on pdf as i have one written in german.

have an e34 535i (M5) AUTOMATIC .
IT NEVER RUNS SMOOTH AT ALL.
IT GOES UP AND DOWN BY ITSELF!
I HAVE SET THE VALVE PUT IN A BETTER AIR FILTER,NEW BOSH PLATINUM PLUGS.
AM WONDERING IF D ENGINE SWITCH MIGHT BE THE PROBLEM(THE BLUE SWITCH ON TOP OF THE ENGINE)
IT ALSO CONSUMES ABOUT 22 LITRES OF FUEL PER 100KM!.
WHEN U START IT IT REVS UP AND DOWN AND AFTER ABOUT 15SECS U REV IT, IT STABILIZES BETTER(NOT COMPLETELY)_ AND IT JUST DOES NOT HAVE ANT BITE WHEN U WANT TO MOVE FAST IT TAKES LIKE ETERNITY FOR D ACCELERATION TO PICK UP (EVEN IF U FLOOR D PEDAL) EXCEPT U PUT IT INTO SPORT MODE

clean the idle air control valve..if that doesn't cure it replace valve and control unit(in glove box)
AnswerYou have replaced the lower control arms and stabilizer links..is rest of the steering fine? Idler arm?And are the rims factory rims?an offset to the wheels may occur...the Manual will help as far as the alarm,I always have to look at them to set it...and the fuel? well its a 535 and isn't made to putt around so slower traffic(idling) will cause more fuel use
