Dodge Repair: 2002 Dodge Dakota check engine light, dodge dakota, pin head

Question
I have a 2002 dodge Dakota, the check engine light came on, I got it checked out and was told it was a small emission leak.  I checked all the hoses, and exhaust, and the throttle body mounting. There was no leak that could be found.  I don't want to take the truck to the dealer because it is going to cost way to much to find this small leak.  Is there any place you can suggest to look, or maybe a part that is common for the this type of leak?  I am considering replacing all of the small hoses as they could be dry rotted.  Before I forget, when the light is reset it doesn't come right back on I drive it for a few days before it pops on, with the same codes.

Answer
I dont see dakotas with small evap often. Any place where the evap lines are routed can be suspect. U are looking for a hole or crack that is no bigger then a pin head. Once the light is cleared  it could take up to a week or more to have the small evap test run to see if u have passed or not.
