Dodge Repair: 2001 Intrepid /2.7L - oil leak, vibration damper, timing chain cover


Question
What are procedures for replacing crankshaft front seal in
2001 Intrepid/2.7L.
Do I need to replace the main rear seal as well.
Any special tools required.

REMOVAL
Remove upper radiator crossmember. (Refer to 23 - BODY/EXTERIOR/GRILLE OPENING REINFORCEMENT - REMOVAL)
Remove radiator fan (Refer to 7 - COOLING/ENGINE/RADIATOR FAN - REMOVAL) and accessory drive belts (Refer to 7 - COOLING/ACCESSORY DRIVE/DRIVE BELTS - REMOVAL).
Remove damper center bolt while holding the damper with Special Tool 8191 (VIBRATION DAMPER CENTER BOLT - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION).
CAUTION: Before removing damper, verify that A/C belt tensioner is not contacting the damper, as damage could occur to tensioner, timing chain cover, and/or damper.

Remove damper by using Special Tools 8194 Insert and 1023 Three Jaw Puller (VIBRATION DAMPER - REMOVAL).
