Dodge Repair: 97 stratus oil pan removal, engine oil pan, radiator support

Question
Am trying to replace the oil pan gasket on 97 2.4L 4cyl. there is a 2" cross member that goes from front mount to the back engine trans/motor mount. I have removed the 4 bolts from the front mount hoping that I can raise the engine enough to get the required clearance between the engine and this bar. no luck. Do I have to suspend the engine and remove the mounting assy. I do have the engine oil pan unbolted and the casting from the pan to the transmission bell is free but the transmission end does not have enough clearance to drop and move to the right side of the vehicle
