Dodge Repair: 99 Grand Caravan no start, haynes manual, grand caravan

Question
Would not start, no solenoid or starter sound. Lots of crazy panel flicker, radio on/off, clicking from column area, even with key out.  Replaced ignition switch, crazy stuff went away, finally started, drove for 30 min, would not start.  Battery tested bad, replaced, no start.  Starter removed, tested good, replaced.  Mechanic had some luck starting it after cleaning contacts in relay center. Drove 250 miles home, kept engine running during trip, drove fine, no warning lights or problems. Does not start still.
Plan: Try some tests in Haynes manual.  May be neutral start switch, which in this van requires removal of valve body at the transaxle.  I can't find a procedure for this, and I don't want to damage my rebuilt tranny.  What do you recommend?

Answer
i would not mess with the valve body  u will loose all the springs when u drop it down and the accumulators will pop out.
When it does not start  what does it do?   gauges work? nothing when u turn thekey over  give me some detail.I live in the Atlanta area I would be glad to look at it for u.
