I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota SLT Extended 4x4.  It has trouble starting.  The starter turns the engine for a long time and it will eventually start.  Once started it will run great.  If I turn it off and then restart it right away it will start up quickly like I would expect.  I just replaced the spark plugs and it did not solve or improve the problem.  I am thinking fuel pump but I do not want to spend the money if it is not the problem.  I do not have any check engine lights.

sounds like a fuel pump to me as well. This happens over night or sitting for say an hour correct?
U can test it next time u know its going to do it   cycle the key 3 times  with out starting it  and it will fire right up for u.If u live in the Atlanta are I would help u out with this
