Dodge Repair: 97 dodge intrepid/ headlights, halogen bulbs, hood latch


Question
i just bought a 97 dodge intrepid and the head light is blown and I have been told that i have to remove the bumper to get to the brackets to get to the light and i was wondering if there is an easier way to change them?

HEADLAMP BULBS
REMOVAL
Release hood latch and open hood.
Remove screws holding headlamp to module assembly.
Separate lamp from module.
Disengage wire connector from back of headlamp bulb.
Remove retaining ring holding bulb to lamp.
Pull bulb from lamp Headlamp Bulb
INSTALLATION
CAUTION: Do not touch the glass of halogen bulbs with fingers or other possibly oily surface, reduced bulb life will result.

Push bulb into lamp.
Install retaining ring to hold bulb in lamp.
Engage wire connector to back of headlamp bulb.
Place lamp in position on module.
Install screws to hold headlamp to module assembly.
Verify headlamp operation and alignment.
