Dodge Repair: Leaking transmission fluid, dakota 4x4, apposed

QUESTION: I just installed a new radiator in my 1992 dakota 4x4 (5.2L, 318). Where the transmission line enters the radiator on the passengers side I have a major leak, What is the name of this part? It is a rubber hose where it meets the radiator, and a metal line after about 6 inches?

ANSWER: I would say tranny cooler line.

QUESTION: I would like to know if it is a good idea to cut the 1/4" trans cooler line, thread it with a die kit ,and splice the line to the rad?, As apposed to replacing the entire trans cooler lines., Also, is it possible to replace just one of the trans cooler lines?

U can do as u like about the repair if it works  more power to ya  if not  u will be stuck buying what ever is sold and how its sold. AS for how they sell the part I cant tell u that because they change stuff all the time check a dealer or autoparts store b4 u go cutting stuff so u can be prepared for the worst.
