Dodge Repair: engine oil light, engine oil pressure, oil sending unit

Question
i just had a LOF done on my 2001 neon about a month ago. When i drive on the highway and then come to a complete stop the oil light comes on, then when i release the brake and accelerate the light goes off. The owners manual indicates low engine oil pressure, But could it be that the mechanic forgot to reset the oil light after the LOF?

Answer
The oil sending unit has a small hole that leads to the sensor.  Over time this hole can get plugged up and cause a false reading.  You should have the mechanic run some carburator cleaner through the inlet for the oil sending unit.  Then replace the sending unit and see if that doesn't cure your problem.
