Dodge Repair: HELP, dodge grand caravan, crank shaft

Question
i have a 1993 dodge grand caravan . it has given me many problems the recent one is when driving down the  road and trying to accelerate  the rpm's go up but it will not accelerate but it doesn't do it all the time mainly when it is hot? i had the tranny rebuilt 10,000 miles abo and a new cam shaft sensor put in it and fuel filter fuel pump crank shaft sensor spark plugs and wires and i am at a loss? can you help?

Answer
Do you have a written transmission warranty ????? it sounds like to me that you issues with the "clutch clearances" in the transmission.  It may operate fine while the fluid is cold and will get dramatically worse when the fluid is hot and much thinner (almost a watery consistency)

Take it back to the shop and have a transmission pressure test performed on the transmission while it is "hot".  A good technician with a good pressure test, can readily isolate the problem.

It may not be what you want to hear, but it will be factual.

I wish you luck
