Tips on Buying Cars: salvage title/tricked by used car dealer, salvage title, legal recourse

Question
After having my truck up on a rack to rotate the tires, my tech noticed frame damage. I told him that I knew it had been wrecked before I bought it, but it was supposed to be the front right fender and minor passenger door(the fender was replaced and the door repaired)He said no it was worse than that.
We did a CARFAX report and it says it a rebuild w/salvage title.
I've been paying 400.pre month plus my trade in (BMW) for a truck with a salvage title. I don't have the title because I'm still paying for it. Also it has no sticker on it saying it was rebuilt.
I bought this 2005 F150 from a used car dealer.

Answer
Bill,

Thanks for your question.  You have every bit of legal recourse on this deal.  You can also call you lender to report to them that the vehicle was rebuilt/salvage before you bought it, and just found out.  You can call the dealer that you bought the vehicle from, and explain that you now know that the vehicle was salvage, and you want proof of where you notified of this prior to the sale of this vehicle.  If they do not offer to purchase the vehicle back from you, then contact an attorney immediately.

This is against the law!

Hope this helps.

Thanks - JB
