Question -
Ive got a 1995 Dodge Mark 3 Van, 6 Cyl. It was running hot when driving, but not while sitting in idle. I parked it for about 6-8 months. Battery went dead so I didn't crank it for at least 3 months. Put a new battery in and it wont crank. Acts like it isn't getting fire. Has a new fuel pump (drove less than a year on it)Also the gas gauge is not working now, could it just be a fuse? Or maybe the kill switch? which I can't find.

Answer -
There is no kill switch.  Clean all of the connections and see if the engine will crank.  if it does then your problem is solved.  However, if it doesn't crank you will need to jump out the solonoid switch.  If it doesn't crank after thet, get a voltage meter and have someone hold the ignition switch in the start position.  Check from the end of the big cable comming from the battery to the starter with the posative wire (red) from the meter.
Then while holding that wire in place.  Place the (black) negative wire from the switch on a ground.  If you are getting 12 to 13,5 volts then you will need to replace the solnoid switch on the top of the starter.

Ok it's getting fire, not getting GAS, can't hear the Fuel Pump come on, a backyard mechanic told me it's probably the fuel pump relay or the fuel pump it's self. The Fuel Pump was put on about 2 years ago and has less than 20,000 miles on it. Ive ordered a relay and will get it tomorrow. Is there anything besides the Relay and the pump being shot, that would cause the fuel pump to not work?

Answer
Hi,
I doubt it's the relay, however, you can take the horn relay out and put it in the slot for the fuel pump relay.  Try this before replacing the relay.  There also is a fuse for the fuel pump, this usually blows before the relay.  It is in the line before the relay.
Also, sometimes when you leave a fuel pump sitting for a while it will build up a resin from the gasoline.  You may have to take it back down and clean it.
