Dodge Repair: Pontiac, pontiac grand prix, american cars

Question
I have a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix, all the pontiac people are on vacation and i saw you said u know about most american cars.
My Pontiac AC works only on number 5 fan control, but when I put it on number 2,3,or 4 it cuts off my headlights?  I can't imagine how the two are remotely related, my husband is at ends on what to do so if you have any ideas I would appreciate it.

You have developed a short between the fan switch and the headlight control.  Do you have a factory delay when you turn off your headlights?  This can be a very costly and very involved repair.  If your husband is handy with cars, I would suggest that you go to a discount parts store and get a repair manual that covers your vehicle.  Wright me back.
