Question -
I have a 1999 Dodge Dakota 5.9L. I installed a new radio and now have the following problem. Drive the truck for 10 minutes and then it shuts off. The motor will crank but will not start. There is a NO BUS in the Odometer reading. Wait 1 hour and truck turns back on. Drive 10  minutes and it will do the same thing. I have a extra PCM for the truck and while the truck did not start I put in the extra one and it not make a differance. Now the truck is in the drive way and will not start at all. Just says NO BUSS..and I can't connect to the computer.. my scanner says no connection available. Dash lights up but seems dead.

Did you cut any wires or did you buy an installation kit for the radio.  I would remove the radio and try to correct any changes you made while installing it then see if it will start.  There is a connection it is under the hood, but it is not for an OBD II code reader.

Answer
OK, do you have fire at the spark plugs?  The coil should have between 10,500 to 13,500 ohms.  That is from the positive terminal to the primary terminal.
I assume that the engine is fuel injected.  turn the ingnition on have someone stand beside the truck to see if they can hear the fuel pump in the tank start pumping.  Then go to the fuel rail bleeder valve and with the ingnition in the on position, press in on the bleeder valve and see if you get fuel or air comming from there.
Wright me back and let me know the results.
