Dodge Repair: 98 Dodge G. Caravan 3.3 Wipers, wiper switch, body control module

Question
Wipers won't run, motor checks OK. Noted- common problem can be multifunction switch. "Chilton's book" says if pins 5 and 8 have less than 1 ohm continuity- Multifunction switch is good. With plug in switch- I do not get a + reading. Washer works. Fuses good. Are these pins(5&8) a positive feed or ground? Some of the other pins trigger relays from grounded test light(High bean, turn, 4 way's all come on when touched)
5 & 8 don't reactthe same -I'm thinking they are positive but don't want to short something by sending 12V into then.
Is there a wiper control module somewhere that may be failing? What "pulses" the relay for delay?
The relay's aren't activating in the PCM and no + voltage reading at the wiper plug on either low or high speed. I don't know which wires to inject + or ground into to "isolate" what is failing or open!  Where do the wires go from the multi switch? How do I rule that out and trace on? Thanks!
Don

Answer
Sorry Don, but this is a fun one.  The wiper switch is tied in to the Body Control Module and there's been problems early on with the BCM, wiper switch, wiper motor and the ground wires in the engine bay.  There is a service bulletin out as to how to address this issue but it's lengthy and requires a dealer scan tool in order to properly monitor the wiper switch position.
