If you are replacing the H block on the a/c system, do you need to vacuum all of the air out before you add freon?  

Answer
Yes, failure to remove air from the system will cause poor cooling as well as leave moisture in the system.  This moisture will cause additional damage by turning in to an acid and eating up aluminum components like the lines, evaporator, compressor and everything else.
