Dodge Repair: Front end shimmy, inner tie rod, 2002 dodge intrepid

Question
I had the dealer replace the tires on my 2002 Dodge Intrepid ES. Drove home, car was shaking like crazy. When I got home a took 4 of the five lug nuts off with my hand on the front left tire. Had the front tires replaced, balanced 4 different times. Even road force, spin balanced. Still have a bad shimmy in the front end (most noticable over 50mph). Can also feel it in the floor by my feet. Not so much in the steering wheel. The dealer says it is fine because they do not want to do anything about it or cant figure it out. Any thoughts. Thanks for your time.

Answer
Sounds like you don't need to go back to that dealership anymore.  Leaving lug nuts loose and not fixing the problem is REALLY bad.

I'm going to need a bit more information like when does the shimmy start and does it go away at a particular speed?

This vehicle has had a problem with inner tie rod bushings failing which will cause a wander or poor response in steering.

In addition does the shimmy exhibit itself while braking, accelerating, cruising, or all of the above conditions?

Can you select a different gear and still feel the shimmy?

Does this shimmy happen at the same time as a shift in the transmission?
