Dodge Repair: Oil pressure alarm, oil pressure gauge, oil pressure sending unit

Question
On my friend's 1999 Dodge Caravan, he oil light and bell come on frequently while driving at slow speed. I read another post where the answer suggested it might be the Idle Control Sensor. I can't find any part reference by that name on this vehicle. I thought maybe I could ask the question of you and see if you concur with the diagnosis and, if so, what the proper name of that sensor is.

Answer
Helo Rex,
I doubt that the Idle air controller has anything
to do with your low oil pressure warning, since you say
you are driving when it happens.
You may have a serious engine problem, or it may just
be a bad oil pressure sending unit.
If your van showed up in my bay at work, I would
check the oil, then hook up a master oil pressure
gauge to the engine and go for drive.
The master gauge would allow me to decide whether I need
to start tearing into the engine, or just replace the
sensor.
I would recommend you do the same.
P.S
Please remember to include the engine size when asking a question.
Thanks! and good luck.
