Dodge Repair: transmission thud, dodge ram 1500, thud

a few weeksago i was driving my truck a dodge ram 1500 3.9 v6 when i hit the gas i heard a big thud and it starting making a whinding noise and no gears work except park and when i put it in reverse you can fel it jerk into reverse then it dont move and when u put it in drive it just makes that whinding noise any clue pete?

this sounds like a bad tranny pump .
Which means u will have to have it rebult.
I hate to tell you this but dodge trannys are junk in my thinking i see a lot of problems .
So if you could get a good warentery on the rebult it would be best.
