Dodge Repair: clanking in my intrepid, dollors, kuck

Question
Pete
Thank you for responding to my question.  Yes the oil is full as I had it changed the very day everything started to go pear shaped.  I have since been told that my bearing is out.  Is it worth fixing or should I just S__t can it? Monica

while driving my car it started to have problems with some clanking.  We had the oil changed and it was fine for a little bit then after driving for about 20-30 mins. it just died.  We thought it was the fuel pump or the filter because when we tried to restart it, it would not start, but now we are unsure.  When I start it it clanks very loud. What could it be. Please help

Answer
Hello hun
This sounds like a rod bearing i would bring it to a good shop where they could rebuld the lower half of the motor this would be a 1000 dollors at least .

Or you sure us is motor oil in the motor not tranny fluid it sounds very funny right after the oil change .

Good kuck to u again hun and if you need further help u let me know pete
