I am having trouble with my 1998 Dodge Stratus transmission. When it first started messing up it was only while driving on the highway with the air conditioner on. The car would jump and then it would not change gears. I took it to the transmission shop and they scanned it and said it was not a transmission problem but a computer problem and sent me to the dealership to have the computer reflashed. The dealership scanned it and said it didn't neeed reflashing, but that some of the wires going to the computer were bad and they rewired it and charged me $117. It ran fine for 2 days, then it did the same thing again. I took it back to the dealership and the scanned it again and said it would cost $742 to replace the transmission control module and fuel pump. I don't know what the fuel pump has to do with it. However, I didn't let them fix it. We got a used transmission control module and replaced it ourselves. It drove okay for a few miles and then did the same thing again. The codes that show up every time are PO700 and PO725. Any idea what we should do next?
