Questiondo you think the mechanic had to remove O2 sensors for head gasket work and never put it back on? How did the engine light come on after the work? Car has appro 76K. does this cause any harm to the car?

Thanks Pete for reply. I checked the fault codes and am getting 12-21-55
I looked up 21 ("faulty Oxygen sensor"). Does the mechanic need to remove O2 sensor for doing the head gasket/waterpump/time belt job? If so which one he might have removed of the two. I just want as much information as possibe so I can go back to him with this. Appreciate your assistance

Question -
I just had the head gasket/Timing belt/Water pump replaced (2 days ago)on my 96 caravan 3.0L. My service engine light came on 2 days after the repair.
I took it back to the mechanice who replaced. He reset it and said to observe if it comes back. As soon as I took it out of his garage it came back on again. He drove it back to him and he asked to leave the car for entire day.
I am afraid what he is going to find now. Prior to gasket replacement I never had the service engine light turned on the car.
Any advise is appreciated.

it is from the work they did they did not hook a senser up and the mech. knows it do not let him charge you good luck to u please rate my serivice pete

this is a 02 senser and a idile controll senser thire is 2 so you have that to go on good what you did helped me out alot so i could help u more good luck and let me know how you make out please rate my serivice pete

yes he pulled the elct. wire befor he removed the head of . that is norm to do that he for got to plug it in will not do any damage as long as you did not drive the car for a long period of time or 1000 miles . to be on the safe side if he owns up to his mistake he should replace the 02 senser free of charge . good luck again and please rate my serive . any time u need any more help i am here pete
