Dodge Repair: 91 Shadow hard starting, fuel pump relay, master cyl

My daughter just bought a 91 shadow. She was told the fuel pump was out so we replaced it and it still wouldnt start until we sprayed a little carb cleaner in the air cleaner, it then ran fine for a couple minutes then died and we had to do the carb cleaner trick again to start it. Ran longer this time but then did the same thing again. If we left it and then came back in about a half hour it started without the carb cleaner. I see by some of your other answers that the O2 sensor or fuel filter could be the culprit. Any other possibilites?

hello Dave
the thing u want to do is turn the key and make sure you can here the pump runing . and if you dont then check the wire to fuel pump and make sure it is geting juce.

and if yes then make sure the fuel pump relay is good it is under the master cyl. if you here it click then good then change the gas filter .
