Dodge Repair: Dodge Neon - Overheated, wont start, dodge neon, month and a half

Question
Last night I was driving my '95 Dodge Neon (SOHC, Automatic), and as I got close to home, the overheating alert went off, and the heater started blowing cold air.  I was only 1/2 mi. from home, so I got home and shut off the car.  I heard gurgling, so I added water to the radiator resevoir.  I tried to start it this morning, and it won't start.  It clicks, but won't try to turn over, and the check engine light blinks four or five times.  I cannot hear the fuel pump engage, either.  I know I have a history of thermostats going bad.  Also, I just had the starter and battery replaced about a month and a half ago.  Could this be yet another thermostat problem, or perhaps the radiator?  Thanks for your help.
