Dodge Repair: Instrument panel, fuel guage, dodge caravan

Question
91 Dodge Caravan.  Everyday, after driving a couple of miles, the door locks start going up and down, the seat belt light and low fuel light goes on, the door ajar, check engine, washer fluid and gate ajar lights start blinking - click click click.  Then the speed odometer stops and the fuel guage stops working.  If i lift off on the gas, the blinking goes on but the blinking noise stops.  If I put on the gas, it makes noise again.  After another few miles, the noise all stops but the speedodometer and gas guage still don't work.  The next day, everything is fine for the first couple of miles.  My mechanic is stumped.  Please help.

Answer
Judy,

I would start with the charging system and battery, all the problems can be traced back to the computer .   the computer controls all the things you talked about. the computer needs a constant supply of voltage. and the voltage must be at 12 volts. if the voltage drops just a little it will give you all kinds of problems.

If everything looks fine with the charging system they i would look at the body computer and having that checked.

Good luck,

Steve
