Dodge Repair: Cant start car, stearing wheel, dodge intrepid

Question
I own a '94 Dodge Intrepid.  Well, when I was parking my car I turned the steering wheel all the way to the right, heard a click (which I just ignored), and pulled my keys out of the ignition.  Now I can't start my car, because the ignition switch won't turn and neither does the steering wheel.  It seems like they're locked in place.  I'm guessing it's a safety mechanism or something.  Anyway, how do I fix this?!  Thanks!

Answer
Ken,

The stearing wheel has a lock on it so that when you remove the key you cant turn the wheel.  Try pulling down or turning the wheel hard while turning the key . It sounds like you just have the car in a bind.  If you have it towed somewhere that is all there going to do.  I have never seen a colume get locked up to the point where you had to take it apart (In 20 years).

Good luck, And If you need more help I will be back on line at 11:00 to check my mail again. SForbes@aol.com.

Take care,
