Dodge Repair: lighted liscense plate holder, dodge avenger, headlamp switch

I WOULD LIKE TO HOOK UP A LIGHTED LISCENSE PLATE HOLDER.  I AM NOT SURE HOW TO CONNECT THE WIRES OR THE GROUND.
Answer -
In depends on when you want the lights on and how you want to control them.  With the headlamp switch or a stand alone switch.

Let me know and i will walk you through it.

WELL I LIKE IT TO BE WITH THE HEADLAMP SWITCH.  FIRST LET'S CONNECT THE REAR PLATE THEN THE FRONT PLATE.

Susan,

First thing to do is turn the headligts on then go to the trunk and find the tag light.  this wire will be hot with the lights on you will need to splice one of the wires into this wire the other wire should be grounded. anywhere on the frame will do or if you have two wires going to the tag light then just splice them both into the wires there.

once you have the back working, move to the front a with the lights on find a positive wire (12 Volts when on) from the running light and wire the front up the same way.  Ground it anywhere on the frame. or use the two wires going to the running light.  if you need more help or have more questions let me know.
