Auto body repair & detailing: Sticking down loose trim?, auto parts store, rubbing alcohol

I have an '81 mercedes and there is a plastic panel on the outside lower side of the doors. One of of the doors, the plastic panel is coming up at the edge. Can you recommend any kind of adhesive that would be permanent that I could put on it to stick it back down firmly? Thanks!

Hello,
 You will have to clean the area that needs re-attached well with rubbing alcohol.  Go to your area auto parts store and get  3M two sided tape.  It is used on mouldings and name plates.  Apply the tape to the area that needs re-attached and press firmly for a few minutes.
